Lorton, VA— April, 27, 2026 — The Kaylee Goncalves Foundation, doing business as Murder Has a Name (MHAN), a newly established nonprofit based in Idaho, today announced a partnership with Bode Technology, a leading provider of forensic DNA analysis services, to support law enforcement agencies working to solve unsolved violent crimes.
Founded in honor of Kaylee Goncalves, MHAN is dedicated to funding forensic DNA testing in cold case homicides, helping investigators generate leads and bring answers to families still searching for justice. Through this partnership, MHAN and Bode Technology will work together to expand access to advanced forensic DNA analysis for cases that may otherwise remain unsolved.
Kaylee Goncalves was one of four University of Idaho students whose lives were tragically taken in 2022 in a case that drew national attention and underscored the critical role of DNA in modern criminal investigations. In the wake of this loss, Kaylee’s family has transformed grief into action—working to ensure other families have access to the tools and resources needed to pursue answers.
“I’ve spent my career believing that victims should come first. I’m proud to partner with Bode Technology, a company that not only shares that belief but puts it into action every day,” said Tracie Brocco, Executive Director of MHAN.
As part of the collaboration, Bode Technology will provide pro-bono expert consultations and discounted forensic DNA analysis on homicide cases referred by MHAN, directly supporting law enforcement agencies working active investigations. In addition, Bode will provide pro bono DNA analysis for one case each year. MHAN and Bode Technology will work together to establish priorities and processes for referring cases, ensuring that resources are directed where they can have the greatest impact.

I cannot wait to see how many families can be helped through Kaylee’s foundation. While we may never prevent every act of evil, answers—and the opportunity for justice—are so important.”
MHAN was created to help address a critical gap in funding for forensic testing in violent crime investigations. While DNA analysis has become an essential tool for identifying perpetrators, many cases remain unsolved due to limited resources. By working collaboratively, MHAN and Bode Technology aim to remove barriers, support law enforcement efforts, and bring new momentum to cases that have remained unresolved.
MHAN encourages others to support efforts that advance justice for victims and their families, whether through funding, collaboration, or advocacy.
